Auxiliary members volunteered 6347 hours running cake stalls, functions and raffles in 2014-15 and raised $27,331.90 in the process.
The group spent $50,378.30 in the past year on much-needed equipment for the hospital, including ward beds, trauma beds, occupational therapy equipment and blood pressure monitors.
Auxiliary president Ann McClintock said the group raised about $1200 more than the previous financial year.
She said the Auxiliary would continue to work towards the hospital’s wish-list, which included more equipment for the physiotherapy and nutrition departments as well as humidifiers.
In her report to the meeting on Monday, Mrs McClintock farewelled her first year as president and praised her “very supportive” executive committee, as well as the Auxiliary members, who worked “extremely hard”.
“I would also like to thank the nursing staff who have supported the Auxiliary this year,” she said.
“It is great to see everyone working together.”
Mrs McClintock recapped on some of the events in 2014-15, including the open gardens partnership with Batemans Bay Garden Club, raffles, Christmas wrapping, band-aid day, morning teas and craft stalls.
“I would like to thank all the local people for their generosity,” Mrs McClintock said.
“I have enjoyed my first year as president and look forward to next year of the friendship and fundraising for our great hospital.”
