Staff from the service represent a snapshot of a range of multicultural groups and a service spokeswoman said they were all excited to call the Eurobodalla home.
“It’s interesting to note in the latest Census almost 30 per cent of the estimated resident population in NSW was born overseas,” the spokeswoman said.
“We are thrilled that our resident multicultural team is representative of this statistic.”
Examples of the expertise from the diverse group includes staff who have worked at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, hold extensive post graduate qualifications, and highly regarded experience in the fields of critical care, oncology, and emergency and trauma medicine.
The spokeswoman said in the Bureau of Health Information 2013 report on the perspectives of patients and their level of health care, the Eurobodalla Health Service scored consistently higher than the NSW average.
“(That was) for the level of trust in doctors, the organisation of the level of care whilst in hospital, physical comfort and being treated with respect and dignity,” she said.
“This is an example of the dedication the Eurobodalla have in delivering a high level of services to the community.
“We welcome the diversity of our workforce in the Eurobodalla and appreciate the mentoring they provide through their vast experience and expertise across the many aspects of the health system.”
