It’s been an unpredictable year for shire business, local government, economy and trade and, according to the spirit world, 2011 will be much the same.

Navigating everyday life is a minefield for most but gifted psychic medium Jacqui Seczawa has a definite advantage.
She believes she has the ability to ask the spirit world for guidance, and clues to what the future holds.
The Bay Post/Moruya Examiner asked Jacqui (with the help of fellow pychic medium Will Baker) to put her skills to the test with a reading of the shire’s future.
She believes it will be a year of both endings and beginnings, of greater consciousness, of harmony and cohesion.
“At an individual level people will experience a balance of power, and the need to let go,” she said.
“I’m getting catchphrases of ‘spring clean’ and ‘rebirth’ as the Earth also goes through a rebalancing, which will result in unusual weather and energetic changes.”
Nice as that all sounded, we were after something a little more juicy, so we asked her to take a closer look at issues related to local government, the economy and sports.
“Within council I see a lot of fresh, new ideas, between April to August in particular. There is ‘fresh blood’ or ‘fresh energy’ around this time,” she said.
“There could be a change among one or two councillors, which will make it difficult for council to come to a unanimous decision.
“I also get the feeling toward issues related to budget. Although, on a positive note I see more public transport and possibly more money for sporting facilities.
“There will be fires south east of the shire, and a river system south of the Bay will have an effect on flatter areas.”
More “fresh blood” is to be expected, with new faces around town toward the middle of the year.
Jacqui said: “Business will grow quite rapidly around June and July - there will be lots of people around the Bay at that time. Something to do with infrastructure being built at that time”.
In closing, the duo warned of a “disruptive incident that would take place around the Batemans Bay CBD in April, which would require emergency assistance”.
