Batemans Bay's CBD came to a standstill on Monday morning as the community stopped to reflect on the sacrifices of our veterans for the traditional Anzac Day march and service.

People lined both sides of Orient Street as the parade made its way north to the cenotaph on Clyde Street, and then filled the grassy areas around the memorial for the service.
Les Arnould and Reverend Rod Slockee were heavily involved in the service which culminated with the traditional playing of the Last Post, a minute's silence, and the Reveille.

Several dignitaries from around the Eurobodalla Shire, including RSL Batemans Bay sub-branch president Brian Wheeler, Councillor Peter Diskon, and Bega MP Dr Michael Holland, laid wreaths at the base of the cenotaph.
The crowd was also treated to a special flyover from two planes during the service.
