And most centres along the South Coast were well above average rainfall figures in January.
Nowra recorded 240.8 millimetres of rain for the month, it's wettest January since 2016 (213.4mm).
Rain fell on 16 days but many local cricketers will tell you it felt like a lot more with the current season, including numerous rounds in late 2021, falling foul of the weather.
Nowra's total was well up on its long-term January average of 73.6mm.

The wettest day was January 12 when the area recorded 82.6mm, which is a record amount rain to fall in the area on one single day for the month.
Nowra's hottest day for the month was 30.8 degrees recorded on both on January 2 and 15, way behind the hottest day the area has ever recorded - a whopping 45.4 on January 18, 2013.
Forecasters are predicting near normal rainfall in Nowra for February, which on average is 143.9mm for the month.
To the north, and Kiama recorded 173.9mm over 17 days and despite being well above its monthly average of 88mm, was more than 30mm down on its wettest ever January which was in 2015 when 208mm was recorded.
The wettest day was January 13 with 61.6mm.
Its hottest day was 26.7 degrees, recorded on both January 3-10.
Predictions are for near normal rainfall for February, where the monthly average is 104mm.
Out on the coast at Point Perpendicular at Jervis Bay, 203.2mm was recorded in 14 days of rainfall.
Again well above the average of 91mm, but well down on the wettest recorded on 228.6mm in 2013.
The wettest day for the month was January 12 with 65.6mm.
The top temperature recorded was 28.3 degrees well down on the highest on record of 41.1 on January 1, 2006.
Forecasters are also predicting near normal rainfall for the area for February, which has an average rainfall of 104mm for the month.
Ulladulla almost doubled its monthly January average 85.3mm, registering 162.8mm, with rain falling on 17 days.
But this was still well done on the town's wettest January which was 2016 when it recorded 265.4mm.
Ulladulla's wettest day was the 13th when it recorded 34mm.
It's hottest temperature for the month was 27.5 degrees on January 15.
For February forecasters are predicting an above normal rainfall for Ulladulla which its average rainfall for the month is 124.4mm
Batemans Bay and Moruya recorded 83.4mm (rainfall on seven days) and 167mm (17 days) respectively for the month.
The Bay has an average rainfall for January of 86.4mm and Moruya 66.1mm for the month.
The Bay's wettest day was January 6, with 24.4mm, while Moruya recorded 46.4mm also on January 6
Moruya's wettest recorded January was 280.6mm in 2016.
The Bay's hottest day was 32.8 degrees (January 15), while Moruya's was 32 degrees (January 15 ).
The Bay's hottest January day on record is 45.9 degrees on January 18, 2013,
Above normal rainfall is predicted for both areas for February, with an average rainfall of 107.4mm.
