The Eurobodalla Netball Association announced on social media yesterday they would be ending the 2021 season effective immediately.
The post cited the current lockdown restrictions and Netball NSW's decision to cancel all major competitions in September and October as factors in the decision.
"The ENA committee have made the very difficult decision to officially end our 2021 Netball season," the post reads.
"We feel very fortunate to have held an almost full season of netball, however we are sad the season has ended in this way.
"Thank you to all the support of the clubs, coaches, umpires, and players for the 2021 season, we have seen some great games and hope everyone has enjoyed it as much as we have."
The Association also announced the ladders as of round 11 would count as the end-of-season results.
"We are hoping to hold a presentation day once the public health restrictions allow to celebrate the achievements of all teams, and will have more information when able," the post read.
