Something in those fire hoses?
After losing their clubhouse in the New Year's Eve bushfire, Club Malua bowlers were quickly ignoring the blackened landscape and were back on the green.
A temporary marquee went up and CabraBowls immediately committed to rebuilding.
Now, the women bowlers have shown the whole district what they are made of.
Paula Hancock of Malua Bay Bowling Club is the 2020 winner of the Far South Coast District Womens Bowls Association Singles Competition.
The runner up was Sue Beavan, who hails also from the Malua Bay Club.
Association vice-president Lisa Grice said it was challenging match played in difficult weather conditions.
"Paula prevailed in a very closely fought final played in very strong windy conditions at Tomakin Club on the 11th of November," Ms Grice said.
