Mitch Hockey, Jaden Clarke, and Brent Pike all scored doubles in the victory, which sees the the Tigers just two points behind fifth-placed Tathra.
The match was played in consistently heavy rain, and Batemans Bay adjusted quicker as Clarke crossed for the first try in the first 10 minutes.
Hockey crossed for his first try soon after, and when Ziggie Vincent crashed over near the posts, the Tigers had built an early 16-0 lead.
The Devils hit back with a converted try in the shades of half time to get back within 10 points at the break.
However, they couldn't keep the momentum going in the second half, as Clarke crossed for his second try to open up a 14-point lead.
Captain-coach Pike then crossed for a second-half double, before Hockey finished off the day with a fantastic solo effort inside the last five minutes.
Pike said he was pleased with his side's attack on a wet day.
"It was always going to be one of those scrappy games, and I was really pleased with the team getting to 38 with the amount of ball we dropped," he said. "It was a great result in the end."
The Tigers are still right in the hunt for a finals spot, but Pike said the team still needed to work on their consistency.
"We're looking to achieve some consistency both on and off the field," he said. "We need the boys to get to training during the week, and then complete our sets on the field.
"When we keep it simple, we seem to be able to put sides away."
The Tigers push for finals will be helped by the return of young winger Mitch Hockey, who has scored five tries in his two games back from a knee injury.
"He's hit the ground running," Pike said. "It's good to have someone of his caliber back out on the wing."
The Narooma She Devils made sure Narooma took positive out of the day with a 26-14 win over the Batemans Bay Tigerettes in the league-tag match.
Sarah Alderton and Elli Beecham proved too much for the Tigerettes' defence to handle, as they set up the team's third win of the season.
A late double to Tigerettes' captain-coach, Beth Christensen, gave Batemans Bay some hope, but the She Devils held them out.
