When you think of the Christmas season, you think of family, friends, presents, and too much food. If you live in Moruya, you may also think of daredevils parachuting under the Princes Highway bridge.

That’s exactly what happened on Saturday, December 22 when three brave souls flew underneath the bridge after flinging themselves out of a plane.
This is the third-straight year Skydive Oz has organised the jump, and they plan for it to be a regular event on the Moruya calendar for years to come.
This year’s jump almost didn’t happen due to the rain that swept through the Eurobodalla Shire on Saturday afternoon, but the jumpers took advantage of a small window of opportunity at 6.45pm.
Spectators were first treated to a low flyover of the bridge during the plane’s ascent, before watching the jumpers (as black specks) leave the plane at approximately 5000 feet.
The three jumpers turned on smoke flares to make themselves more visible, and kept them on until their splash landing in the river at approximately 7pm.
Check out the videos below to see both this year’s and last year’s jumps.
