Motorists will experience safer and smoother journeys on the Kings Highway, with work on the $800,000 package to start soon.
Work will be carried out from Friday 18 to Friday 25 May between 7am and 5pm, weather permitting.
“The Kings Highway is a vital thoroughfare, which is why it is so important to ensure the road continues to meet the needs of locals, tourists and freight operators, now and in future,” Mr Barilaro said.
“This section of the road is rough and reaching the end of its life span. This package of work will improve safety for all road users, especially motorcycle riders.”
Changed traffic conditions including stop/slow conditions and a reduced speed limit will be in place.
Motorists are advised to plan their journey and allow extra travel time, as delays of up to five minutes are expected during work hours.
