The strategy will help council identify the need for key visitor signage including the location and style of different types of tourism and wayfinding signs.
Residents and visitors can complete a short online survey to help council understand what attractions and places are important and how existing signage to these places could be improved.
The survey is available on council’s website until Friday, May 11.
Council is working with Wayfound, a specialist tourism and wayfinding consultancy, to assist with preparing the strategy.
The project is jointly-funded by the Australian Government's Building Better Regions Fund and council.
Council’s Tourism and Events Manager Meredith Wray said distinctive and innovative visitor signage helped guide visitors to key attractions and experiences and encourage them to stay longer and spend more.
