Eurobodalla residents and visitors can expect improved mobile internet capacity this summer holiday season, according to Telstra.
Batemans Bay is one of 125 holiday locations around Australia to receive upgraded 4G internet services before the busy time of year.
Telstra’s area general manager, Chris Taylor, said increased demand for mobile internet services was a key factor behind the upgrades.
“Every year we see more and more demand for mobile services on beaches, national parks and camping spots around the country,” Mr Taylor said.
“This is driving our investment in new coverage and improving 3G and 4G capacity at holiday spots across NSW.”
Telstra advises that while the upgrades will help manage the added demand, the system can still become congested. Peak times include lunchtime and early evening. Users experiencing connection issues during these periods should wait for a few minutes and try again.
Moruya and Merimbula are also expected to have improved mobile service.
