Both Boars junior teams travelled to Cooma for their games last Saturday. The U13 team ran on after the U11’s and must have been inspired by their junior team, who fought to the finish to be just beaten by the U11 competition leaders, Cooma Reds.

From the outset, the U13 Boars dominated, with JC Ngarima-Lotte running riot from the kick-off. He showed his class, scoring two quick tries and setting up another for Nathan Hogan-Grimm.
A nice backline run saw Jayden Wolfe set up classy winger Matt Johnston, who set sail and scored wide. Cooma tried hard to come back, but then Joseph Ferrante scored wide off a pass from U11 utility player “Nugget” Collier.
Malaki Stedman was terrific in the rucks, ably followed by forwards, Jordan Wattam and Rikaea Clark. Then “Smiley” Thomas Humphries made a tremendous run, scattering the defence and running 35m to score, making the half-time score 30-0.
Despite a good effort from the Cooma Reds at the beginning of the second half, winger Matt Johnston scored a runaway try, followed by JC a few minutes later. JC made another break and unselfishly gave the ball to Nathan to score his second try, followed by JC giving “Nugget” a well-deserved try. Shortly after loose-head prop Joey Ferrante passed to outside centre, Jayden Wolfe, who scored easily. This team was on fire and leading 59-0. JC then set up Nathan again, to take the final score to 64-0.
