No stranger to representative football, Luc was chosen for the NSW side on the back of an impressive performance in the recent country championships, where he captained the Southern Stingrays side.
While in Perth, the NSW Country side will play two games against the Western Australian rugby league side.
Luc said he is expecting to learn a lot from the trip.
“I’ve never been over there before, so it should be a really good experience,” he said.
“The chance to meet new people and play footy at a high level is something I am looking forward to.”
Luc’s skills have been recognised by the Moruya Sharks where he has been working under the coaching of first grade coach Tim Weyman.
Already this year he has been a part of the Canberra Raiders U18 train on squad, with the front rower unlucky to miss out on making the final team.
Luc’s father, Ed, said the Sharks have played a significant role in fostering his son’s ability.
“He loves playing his footy out of Moruya and the club have always been great in providing support and guidance,” he said.
“Luc has always enjoyed playing within a team environment and training with his mates as much as the game day action.”
Luc isn’t the only one from the Eurobodalla to have made it into the NSW country team, with three players from Narooma also selected.
