Bega MP Andrew Constance said the NSW Government allocated $50,000 for the work.
"Roads and Maritime Services will start work to build a new median on the Old Princes Highway and change the turn arrangement to make one lane of the Princes Highway left turn only into the Old Princes Highway to improve safety," Mr Constance said.
"The work will take place from Monday, September 7 to Friday, September 11 between 7am and 6pm, weather permitting.
"Road users are advised delays of up to five minutes will be in place for motorists travelling through the intersection and traffic control will be in place as part of the process”.
Lane closures and turning restrictions will be in place while work is carried out.
A reduced speed limit of 40 km/h and detours will also be in place.
Motorists can alternatively access the Princes Highway using Beach Road, Guy Street or Hughes Street.
