The home side wanted to continue from where it left off in the previous week against Bermagui and it gained the early ascendency against Bega.
Ben Risk kicked the first goal after a silky symphony of hands, legs and feet.
Wade McDonald was strong at clearances and notched up the team’s second goal.
As the game wore on the Giants flagging fitness levels showed and the Bombers kicked their only goal of the match.
The Giants had a minor lead but fended off the Bombers attacking forays to limp over the line.
Coach Nick Stone praised defenders Ryan Brice and Chris Innocenti.
“They led the back line to repel one Bombing raid after another,” Stone said.
“Special mention must be made of Elijah Turner Collins, who still has another year in the under 11s.”
BM Giants under 13s 2.3 (15) (best: Billy Williams, Chris Innocenti, Ryan Brice, Ryley Spoelder-Hanlon, Tasman Simons and Elijah Turner-Collins) defeated Bega Bombers 1.1 (7).
