A Fire and Rescue Batemans Bay spokesman said that the male P-plate driver of the car lost control of the vehicle while driving on Dunns Creek Road and it went down an embankment at about 11.50am on Tuesday.
An ambulance crew arrived on the scene soon after, followed by a Batemans Bay Fire and Rescue crew, but the male and female occupants of the car had got themselves out.
They had suffered minor injuries and were taken to Batemans Bay Hospital, and were soon discharged. The car was badly damaged and was towed from the scene. A surfboard that had been in the car was smashed.
