FINAL UPDATE: The floodwaters on the Flat have receded and most roads have reopened. There are strong winds forecast and there is damage to the highway and other roads, so drivers should continue to use caution.
UPDATE 1.20PM: Just getting reports that Nangudga is flooding and the Island View caravan park is starting to go under... Meanwhile at Bermagui, the Dickinson Oval and Bermagui Public School low lying areas are also flooded.
UPDATE 1PM: The rain has not stopped students sitting their HSC at Narooma High School. Executive director of curriculum teaching assessment at the Boad of Studies (BOSTES) Paul Hewitt said students were sitting industrial technology this afternoon, but if conditions did worse then students would be notified directly. He urges students not to take risks getting to school and to follow SES advice.
UPDATE 12.20AM: Just did the drive of the Dalmeny circuit round to the highway at Kianga - main roads all open but there are sides road on the Narooma Flat and around the Dalmeny duck pond closed. Still raining... Good news is that water is receding on the Narooma Flat around Lynch Street and McMillan Road - still closed to traffic though.
UPDATE 11.30AM: There was a landslip at Kianga Road according to Livetraffic blocking the highway. Meanwhile it is still pouring down rain... Mal Barry at Narooma emptied 216mm rain at his place on Loader Parade.
UPDATE 10.30AM: The Princes Highway just south of Narooma is now closed for 20minutes while it is cleared. The highway to the north to Bodalla is open but beware there are flooded sections.
UPDATE 10AM: Residents are now reporting well over 200mm since 4am as the rain continues to fall.
Paul Goard reports rainfall at Eastaway Avenue North Narooma - 24 hours to 9 am: 205.2 mm. Maximum rate of rainfall at 8.47 am was 6 mm/minute, sith another 18.7 mm to 9.53 am.
UPDATE 9.30AM: The SES is starting to get damage reports and flooding in the Narooma Bermagui area with conditions expected to worse this afternoon with damaging winds of more than 100km/h.
Emergency officials asking people not to drive through floodwaters. The SES can be reached on 132 500.
There were reports 6mm of a minute on the ABC South East.

The highway approaches to Narooma were also hard to navigate with water sheeting and flooding over embankment.
Estuaries were rising quickly.
Gabe Eichler who lives in Lynch Street on the Narooma Flat reports the water was rising quickly and at 8.30am was saying one more inch and her house would start to go under.
At 9am she texted that she was thinking about going to higher ground.
Roads are blocked at Riverside Drive, McMillan Road and Centenary Drive are all under water.
Margaret Moran just emptied her rain guage at 9am and had 156mm and still raining heavily.
Peter James reported 114mm in Kianga at 8am.
Margaret Naylor reported 99mm.
Clinton Leahy reported 27mm at Cobargo.
Kylie Clark at Tuross Head had 73.8mms in the last 24 hours and 36.6mm in the last hour alone before 8.30am.
