The day is a fundraiser for the Batemans Bay Legacy Group that supports 228 widows and the 23 Legatees.
Coordinator Keith Brewster said last year’s event went “extremely well” and he believed this year could be better.
“It will be a fun day and people will be raising money for a good cause,” Brewster said.
“It’s one of two major fundraisers we run to support spouses and serving members.”
The golf day will be played in the Ambrose format and more than 10 teams have registered.
Brewster said he expected more single entries or teams to join before registrations end on Saturday.
“Last year we had 22 teams and that’s enough to get a good competition,” he said.
Teams representing the armed forces can vie off for select prizes and trophies.
Brewster said there would be additional prizes, a raffle and lunch for all contestants.
“Fun events will be conducted such as target golf or the longest drive,” he said.
There will be one major prize available – a Hyundai car - for anyone who can achieve a hole-in-one on a specified par three.
Dealer principal Allan Rutherford said he would love for someone to take home the major prize.
“It would be great if someone could win the car, more people would get behind the day next year,” he said.
Registration costs $45 per person or $180 for a team and forms are available from the Catalina Golf Shop.
“All in all it will be a fun day supporting a good cause with 18 holes, lunch and a couple of drinks,” Brewster said.
