Nelson Olver, Amryn Carnall, Mitchell and Zac Jones, Kaeleigh, Emma and Sean Peard did their parents proud by joining together to take care of all the volunteer positions at their local parkrun event.
In warm conditions on Saturday, four runners managed to find the energy to record personal bests on the course. They were Eric Lloyd, Nelson Olver, Kathy Overend and Jen Ryan.
Of the 47 to cross the finish line, Neil Mackay had the pick of the times with a strong 18:52.
Kate Harrison, of Ginninderra parkrun in Canberra, achieved 21:00, which is an overall parkrun PB.
It was also Harrison’s first visit to the Batemans Bay course.
Anthony Miles of Moruya picked up October’s parkrunner of the month award for achieving a long-awaited PB and offering continued support through volunteering and participation.

Batemans Bay parkrun is a free, weekly, timed 5km running/walking event.
It takes place every Saturday at 8am.
Batesmans Bay parkrun starts from Rotary Park, near the Batemans Bay Marina, on Beach Road.
