Australia's sail training flagship, the Young Endeavour, sailed into Batemans Bay waters on Wednesday, creating a nautical spectacle for onlookers.
The tall ship is moored north of Maloney’s Beach.
Since it was given to Australia by the British as a Bicentenary gift in 1988, the ship has been the centre of the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme, providing training voyages for thousands of young Australians.
In June 2016, Durras teenager Rhys Macdonnell set sail on the Young Endeavour 28 years after his mother, Carolyn Morey, sailed the ship to Australia on its maiden voyage as a 20-year-old.
