Mr Killick barely survived his escape with Lucy Dudko, enduring 45 days on the run. Twenty-four years later, he has joined the BAD Sydney Writers Festival line-up to discuss his life in prison.
The 81-year-old iconic fugitive accompanies fellow ex-con Ron Isherwood in talking about their experiences at Pentridge, Australia's most infamous prison.
Running from November 1 to 5 at the State Library of NSW and other locations around Sydney, the festival caters to aspiring crime writers, readers and criminologists.
It offers a range of sessions, including opportunities for writers to pitch to agents and publishers.
Crime journalists and podcasters John Silvester and Mark Morri compare true crime in Melbourne and Sydney on November 2 at the State Library of NSW.
