Narooma Oyster Festival
Australia's food royalty will descend on Narooma for this year's hotly-anticipated Oyster Festival. The event features an all-star line up, including Colin Fassnidge, Corey Costelloe, Toby Worthington, Kelly Eastwood, and Courtney Roulston. Outside of the cooking demos, hear fascinating interviews with festival legends including champion shucker Sally Maclean, Wapengo farmer John Blankenstein, and festival ambassador Paul West. Mother's Day at the Libraries
Looking to make something nice for Mum? Drop in to your local library, and get to crafting. Eurobodalla Shire Libraries at Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma are holding Mother's Day craft workshops. Happening Friday (May 6) at Batemans Bay and Narooma, and Saturday (May 7) at Moruya. Each library is making different items - check with your local for more details and times.

Mayor's Writing Competition
In this writing workshop young people (age 8 and up) will have help to develop their stories and turn their ideas into entries for the Mayor's Writing Competition. Come armed with story ideas or drafts to learn: how to turn your ideas into words on a page, tips and tricks on how to structure writing, and how to make a good story into a standout story. Happening this Saturday (9.30am) at Batemans Bay Library. Entries for the Mayor's Writing Competition close July 1.

Phoenix Writing Workshop, Mogo
Find your voice and make a contribution to the story of Mogo's strength and resilience. The Phoenix Writing Workshop is open to all locals with a story to share - and you'll be guided through the process. This is a free event, simply bring yourself and your laptop, or paper and pen. If you're a savvy businessperson with a bright idea, iAccelerate could be just the ticket to turn your clever concept into a reality. Experts will be on hand to test out local business ideas, and use their own experience to help grow them into successful projects or businesses. University of Wollongong Batemans Bay Campus is hosting its second business innovation workshop this Thursday (May 5), 1.30pm - 3pm.

New exhibition at the Bas
Spiral Galley Co-operative's '25+' exhibition is coming to the Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre in Moruya later this month. This group exhibition will showcase works from 58 of the co-op's 90 members. At the opening, enjoy nibbles and refreshments as you view the magnificent works in a variety of mediums including, ceramics, sculpture, painting, prints, woodwork, video, textiles and jewellery. This is a great opportunity to get a sneak peek before the exhibition opens to the public. Officially opening May 13, 5.30pm.
