The young cast are in their final weeks of rehearsals, and can't wait to finally perform their new show for an audience.

This thoroughly entertaining musical is based upon The Addams Family characters created by Charles Addams, originally as cartoons, which depict a ghoulish family with an affinity for all things creepy and kooky.

An important element of The Addams Family musical is the ensemble, a group of The Addams Family "Ancestors", descendants from a different time periods and locations.

The Bay Theatre Players ensemble Ancestors are a 15-strong cast of enthusiastic young actors, ranging in age from 8 to 16, a combination of experienced young players and first-time performers.

The Ensemble has a very important role in The Addams Family, setting a strong atmosphere of fun and creepiness on the stage, as well as being the backup chorus for multiple scenes and numbers.

Audiences will be delighted as the Ancestors emerge onto the stage in their ghoulish personas, which include a pirate, a cowboy, a sailor and a Viking to name just a few!
