The crowd gathered at St John's Anglican Church for a special bell-ringing ceremony similar to calls across the globe calling on nations to take climate action.
The gathering coincides with the COP26 Conference of Parties in Glasgow, Scotland, that aims to deliver emission cuts by 2030 to keep global warming to 1.5 degrees.
Reverend Linda Chapman addressed the crowd, calling on them to 'resist our own government making us mean and small'.
Rather, she called on everyone to pursue effective climate action with 'conviction, a clear mind, respect, integrity, and love'.
Following the address, the church bell rang to mark the occasion as it had back in 2015 during COP 21 in Paris.
Organisers 350 Eurobodalla thanked everyone who came along, especially Reverend Linda Chapman for her 'considered and activating message'.
