The Batemans Bay Service Centre is getting a new layout and a range of self-service options, due to be completed by late next month.
The Services Australia premises at 3 Flora Crescent will have a contemporary look and feel for an "improved customer service experience".
Minister for Government Services Senator the Hon Linda Reynolds CSC said the refurbishment would make it easier to access services.
"Customers are at the heart of the new design and National Disability Insurance Scheme services will also continue to be available at the service centre," Minister Reynolds said.
"Locals can also book appointments to speak to a staff member face-to-face about Centrelink services.
"Services Australia service centres remain open during COVID-19 lockdowns with strong health and safety protocols in place.
"People are encouraged to complete their Centrelink and Medicare business online if they're able, but our staff remain available for those who need extra support."
New South Wales Senator Jim Molan welcomed the upgrade.
"Staff will be able to provide digital coaching sessions to help customers use those services as Australians are increasingly using digital services such as myGov and the Express Plus Centrelink mobile apps," Senator Molan said.
Batemans Bay Service Centre will remain open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
