Eurobodalla Shire COVID-19 cluster rises to 32 cases

Three of the new cases are linked to known cases in the area, and the source of one is under investigation.

It brings the total number of active cases in the shire to 32.

Across the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) there were 26 new COVID-19 cases recorded in the 24 hours to 8pm Wednesday, September 29.

It brings the total number of cases in the district to 176 since the start of the current outbreak in June.

There was another detection of the COVID-19 virus in the Moruya sewage plant.

Everyone was asked to be alert for any symptoms that could signal COVID-19, including headache, nausea, sore throat, runny nose, cough, loss of smell or taste, or fever.

If symptoms appear, people must get tested and isolate immediately, and remain isolated until a negative result is received.

Across NSW, 86.7 per cent of the over-16 population has received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 62.9 per cent are fully vaccinated.

There were 941 new COVID-19 cases recorded in NSW and six deaths overnight.

Four people were not vaccinated and two people had received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

There have been 337 COVID-19 related deaths in NSW since 16 June 2021 and 393 in total since the start of the pandemic.
