Police are investigating an incident in which a man was picked up and thrown onto his head outside a NSW-Victorian border town pub.

Footage from multiple mobile phones showed the 37-year-old on the footpath outside the New Albury Hotel, in Albury, on Saturday night.
He was surrounded by security guards, one of whom picked him up and threw him to the ground, causing the man to land on his head about 10.45pm.
Other patrons reacted with shock.
Police attended and issued the man with a move-on direction.
A spokeswoman said the man was arrested, and was later seen to have a cut on his head.
"The man allegedly failed to comply and was arrested and taken to Albury Police Station, where he was issued an infringement notice for continue intoxicated etc behaviour after move on direction," the spokeswoman said.
"Police later observed the man to have a laceration to his forehead.
"Inquiries revealed the man had allegedly been involved in an earlier altercation with security staff at the premises."
"Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding how he came to be injured."

Paramedics attended the police station but the man didn't require hospitalisation.
Albury police licensing staff are involved in the investigation and have attended the venue.
The hotel has been contacted for comment.
A spokeswoman said the venue was cooperating with police.
"We can confirm there was an incident at Beer Deluxe (on Saturday) night and we are fully cooperating with the New South Wales Police," the spokeswoman said.
"However we cannot provide further comment whilst there is an active police investigation."
