Unfortunately my wife had a bad fall on Friday and she is booked in for an MRI next Wednesday, the only appointment we could get, so I have decided to move our meeting to the Tuesday instead.
My apologies for any inconvenience, but in the circumstances I have no choice - unless someone else is prepared to run the Zoom meeting on the Wednesday. Any volunteers? Let me know if you can, and in the meantime, let's plan for Tuesday.
We will have 2 presentations at the meeting, one (me) on Acorn Capital (ACQ) a small company LIC which has done marvelously well over the past 6 months, and has some good prospects for the future.
The other presentation will be by Owen who will talk about Brickworks (BWK), a complex company with a strong history of growth and dividends and has shown a good uptrend in price over the past month or so.
With the ASX performing particularly well at the moment, there are some good uptrends in a number of stocks, and we need to share our good news stories, and talk about where we think the rest of 2021 will take us. Let me know if there are any other topics you would like to put on the agenda
If you would like to join us for the Zoom meeting on Tuesday, please let me know by emailing me on southcoastasa@gmail.com

March Charge raises millions
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank our communities for their incredible support of The March Charge campaign. During the month of March, people across NSW contributed to the 745,300km, equivalent to 18 laps around Earth, clocked up nationally through walking, running, and moving, all to raise funds for people affected by cancer.
The March Charge provides an opportunity for everyone, no matter what their fitness level, to get healthy and contribute to a cancer free future. Our Chargers took on the challenge of setting their own walking or running challenge over the course of one month, we also saw Chargers trying activities like cycling, swimming, tennis or dance. Whatever the activity, the goal was the same: clock up the kilometres and feel the Charge you get when you tell cancer where to go.
In total, there were 11,134 Chargers who raised an incredible $2.6 million, making it the biggest March Charge in history, and the donations are still rolling in! Sadly, an estimated 145,000 new cancer cases will be diagnosed in Australia this year, but funds raised from The March Charge will go towards Cancer Council's lifesaving cancer research, vital information and support services and cancer prevention programs to reduce cancer in the community.
We know the past year has been challenging, so we are proud to see our communities taking to the streets, pools, gyms, and treadmills to support people affected by cancer who need our help, now more than ever. And there's also never been a better time to commit to challenging ourselves to be more physically active to improve our health.
There's still time to donate to our incredible Chargers, just head to themarchcharge.com.au
