A spokesperson said the centre has sometimes been notified of over 1000 pile burns at once across the region since the start of autumn.
"On these beautiful autumn days, many people are taking advantage of the opportunity to burn off piles of fallen branches in an effort to tidy up and be prepared for summer," a Far South Coast RFS spokesperson said.
"We would like to say thank you to the vast majority of people who have done the right thing and notified the Fire Control Centre, and their neighbours, prior to burning."
The online option can be found at: burnnotification.com.au
If you prefer to make a phone call, or don't have internet access, call Moruya Fire Control on 4474 2855.
The site is provided as an alternative option for Eurobodalla Shire and Bega Valley residents.
The spokesperson said it does not automatically provide for any approval to burn.
