Bega MP Andrew Constance says the federal government has not done enough to support those in the Bega Valley and Eurobodalla who have been hit with hardship after the recent bushfires
"Our farms, industries, small businesses, tourism operators ... everyone has been smashed," Mr Constance said.
Mr Constance said his number one focus was: "getting people fed, putting roofs over heads and cash into people's pockets."
"I have to be honest, it's not flowing yet," he said. "There seems to be this stop-gap. Whether it's welfare agencies, bureaucracies - we have to make it easy for people."
Mr Constance said he would put pressure on "wherever we need to, so locals are getting that support".
He urged the wider community to help by donating to bushfire appeals in the Eurobodalla Shire and Bega Valley Shire which were launched this week.
