MONDAY, 4pm: The Watch and Act alert remains current for the Badja Forest Rd fire.
The bushfire north-west of Cobargo has now burnt more than 6600ha and is out of control.
The fire has crossed into the Wadbilliga National Park and is spreading to the east.
The fire has crossed the Tuross River and is burning in terrain that is difficult to access.
Fire activity has increased on the western side of the fire. Fire is spotting on the western side of Badja Road.
The fire is moving in a south easterly direction. Crews are working to protect isolated properties in the area.
Badja Road is closed from Numeralla to Braidwood, except for local traffic.
This fire has the potential to spread rapidly towards areas to the east.
Deteriorating conditions are forecast over the coming days with expected high temperatures and strong winds.
Advice
If you are in the area of Badja Road, between Countegany and Boggy Plain, be alert to embers and spot fires. Know what you will do if the fire threatens.
If you are in the area of Yowrie, Wandella, Tinpot and Murrabrine, monitor the changing conditions. Activate your bush fire survival plan. Know what you will do if the fire threatens. If your plan is to leave, leaving early is the safest option.
If you are in the area of Cobargo, Verona and Upper Brogo, monitor the conditions.
Follow your bush fire survival plan, and know what you will do if the fire threatens.
If your plan is to leave or you are not prepared, travel west to Numeralla.

People with respiratory conditions who are affected by bush fire smoke should activate their health management plan and seek medical advice if necessary. Take precautions, such as staying indoors and closing windows.

A fire is burning out of control in inaccessible country has crossed into the Wadbilliga National Park west of Narooma/Bodalla.
The fire has crossed the Tuross River and is burning in areas not accessible to ground crews. It has already burnt out more than 1300ha and has the potential to spread rapidly towards areas to the east.
An Advice alert is current for the communities of Yowrie, Wandella, Tinpot and Murrabrine.
Rural Fire Service Far South Coast says if your plan is to leave, leave now.
