During the three rounds, the crew came out on top with two wins and a second. Finishing second was the highly credentialled Blueys North Cronulla Crew and North Cronulla Black second.
The swell was very testing with a 1.5 to 2m swell and wind chop coming in on Bulli Beach. This was the Broulee Wombats' first sprint race and hit out as a group and sweep/coach Rob Pollock said there was plenty of upside.
The crew is part of an 8-woman squad for the George Bass and has won two marathons, winning the Rooster River Run in Sydney in October and the Pambula Marathon in September.
Broulee will host the second round of the South Coast Series on December 7. Broulee Vets men and women won as well. The club won the lucky crew draw.
