The eight-kilometre run was in danger of cancellation due to significant cost increases, but Southern Phone combined with the community to make sure that didn't happen.
Moruya Surf Lifesaving Club president, Michael Pheeney, said it was a lucky break for the event.
"The Moruya Town to Surf Fun Run is the surf club's major annual fundraiser," he said. "It is a big event for us, and something we enjoy putting on for the community.
With the support of a near record number of runners in 2018, and the support of our sponsors, we are able to continue this fabulous event."
The finish line at the surf club will include live music, a barbecue, a coffee van, giveaways, and a massage tent.
Every finisher will receive a medal for the first time in the event's history.
"We hope our past participants will get their entries in and grab a friend or family member to run with them," Pheeney said. "Eight kilometres is a good challenge, but also realistic for anyone who wants to run or walk the scenic course from Riverside Park to the surf club."
The event will start at 9am, and costs $30 for juniors or $40 for adults.
Runners and walkers can register online via www.moruyasurf.org.au.
