Nicky Axisa and Sarah O'Riley started the kitchen and delivery service to help people needing food, clothing, blankets and toiletries in Batemans Bay and Moruya.
"The response from the community was overwhelming," Ms O'Riley said of Sunday's event.
"We had a great band of volunteers who turned up on the day who had also prepared meals.
"We cannot thank them enough. They made the event a huge success.
"It was great to see people in need turn up and we hope to see more in the future.
"We want to thank Lanz Priestley and Anita Gold, from the Sydney's 24-7 Street Kitchen and Safe Space Community, who drove from Sydney for the event. They brought toiletries and their knowledge.
"A big thanks to Soul Tribe Studio, which raised more than $600 for the service at an event in July."
Ms O'Riley said the number of clients for the delivery service was increasing and limited public transport made life tougher for many.
"We encourage people to contact us if they do require items such as food, clothing and blankets," she said.
"Some people are unable to travel into town. They may not have their own vehicle. They may be relying on others for transport.
"There may be someone camping in the bush or living in their car who don't have access to laundry facilities.
"Everyday tasks which we take for granted are more complicated when you are not in a position to access these facilities.
"We are starting to work with other groups who are giving us access to a lot of knowledge which will enable us to help people get support."
Ms O'Riley said the service was giving people who wanted to help an outlet.
"It is drawing the community together and giving other people an opportunity to help others," she said.
"I thought of helping for years, but it was like 'where do I start?'," she said.
The service intends to serve food at the Moruya River Park rotunda on the final Sunday of each month, from 3.30-5.30pm. The next event is Sunday, August 25.
