After being held to a solitary goal in the first half, the Seahawks piled on six goals in the second to come away with an important eight-point win, 7.12 (54) to 6.10 (46).
Byron Van Dyk kicked two goals in the win, including the sealer, while Shaun Green also chipped in with a pair of majors.
The first half was a slog for the Seahawks, who were held goalless in the second term to trail by four straight kicks at the main break.
The home side whittled 20 points off the lead in the third term, before running over the top of their opponents with a three-goals-to-one final quarter.
Coach Mick Kenny said his young side showed plenty of grit in the second half.
"We spoke all week about staying in the grind of the match, and we were always pretty comfortable that we'd have the legs to go with them in the second half," he said.
"The first half was played on their terms. They really dominated the clearances, and we couldn't get our hands on the footy to use our outside run.
"We kept pretty positive throughout the first half. I thought the run of play was pretty even, we just weren't getting goals on the back of it.
"We started winning the inside battle in the second half, and our outside run really hurt them."
Despite the win, Kenny said there was plenty for his side to work on.
"We can't be too happy with that performance, there's still plenty of improvement to be had," he said. "We want to go into the finals with momentum, so it's really important for us to get a win this week.
"If we win this week, it locks us into third spot, and that gives us a home final. That would mean we'd have all three grades playing at home, so that's a big prize.
"We're starting to peak at the right time, and a big performance this week will hopefully set us up for a big tilt at the premiership.
Third spot would potentially see Woden return for the first week of the finals.
"If we can get them on our home deck, we'd be pretty comfortable coming up against them," Kenny said. "We're pretty comfortable coming up against anyone really, because we know every match up will be tough."
