After 15 gruelling rounds of point-for-point squash, Minor Premiers Malua Bay (Bodean Strachan, Phil Porter and Samantha Strachan) took on Moruya (Stewart Scobie, Anthony Bellette and Matt Buchanan).
After losing the major semi-final to Moruya, Malua Bay hit the court with a whole new attitude and aptitude and demolished their opposition three rubbers to nil.
Bodean Strachan beat Scobie 61-38. Porter defeated Bellette 76-40 and Samantha Strachan bested Buchanan 73-40.
The Grand Final was considered by most as one of the best that has been contested here in the Bay.
The gallery was packed with very vocal supporters (most for the losing team) and all matches were played in the right spirit.
The evening was the culmination of a very successful season for the club having had great results at the ACT Championships and Bega Masters.
