The Moruya Saturday Golfers played the June Monthly Medal with the following results: A Grade Medal Rolly Halligan with 71 nett, Gross Brent Hull with 81; B Grade Medal Stephen Heffernan 70 nett, Gross Ralph Rabbidge with 87; C Grade Medal Paul Chamberlain with 68 nett on C/B, Gross Peter Mylott with 90; D Grade Medal Tim Trenholm with 68 nett, Gross Ron Richards with 96 on C/B. Golden Shot was won by Mick Fardy. NTP'S: 6th Hole Michael Flynn, Mick O'Shea, Stephen Fletcher, 10th Hole Brent Hull, George Clulee, Tony O'Connor. 12th Hole Dave Hope, Dave Cummins. Ball Rundown went to 79 on C/B.

Tuross Head Country Club men
Saturday, June 1: Tuross Head men's golfers competed in the stroke and putt monthly medal single stroke event this week with players providing strong competition over the three grades.
Club champion Leigh Coloe emerged as the winner in the A grade division with a nett score of 71 strokes ahead of John Phyland and Colin Houghton who both finished with 74 strokes. Jim Wade won B grade with a nett 72 strokes relegating Ian Lawson to second placing on a countback. Steven O'Shea's 73 strokes resulted won him third placing. C grade best player in this division was Allen Lee whose score of 72 strokes won him a monthly medal. John Eglitus was second with 74 strokes and Bruce Ware third with 75 strokes.
Jim Wade won the putting competition with 25 putts on a countback from Colin Houghton. Leigh Coloe had the lowest off then stick score with 72 strokes and Leigh also won the golden shot with 2.03 m on the second hole.
Nearest the pins were won by: A grade player Steve Collins with a close 30 cm on the 4th hole. Colin Houghton was the best on the 6th hole with 4.01 m and Al Gannon won the 7th with 11.07 m. B grade player Peter Hogan was awarded the 4th hole with 1.90m. Peter Nikolic was closest on the 6th hole with 7.29 m and Ian Lawson won the 7th hole with 11.05 m. In C grade, Bruce Ware was closest on the 4th hole with 1.67 m. Mick Elfar won the 6th with 6.44 m and Mike Allen the 7th with 11.74 m.
Next Saturday's event is the Scoty stableford competition.

TUROSS HEAD VETERANS
After a bit of rain, the weather cleared on Wednesday, but still a bit cool for the 44 starter's who set out to play in a special par event. The winner with a +5 was - Rick Brake. Second place went to - Terry Lunn also with a +5. In third place it was - Ian Wratten with a +3 after a countback from - John Cox also with a +3 giving him fourth place. The Bradman's was awarded to - Patrick Sager and the Accuracy Drive went to - Jennifer Gray. Nearest the pins - 4th - John Cox. 6th - Greg Smith. 7th - Peg Nevitt and Neil Watson (in the hole). Ball or Chocolate went to - Ross Davidson, Neil Mather, Robin Green,Sandra Hanlon, Ron Hanlon, Andrew Gordon, Bruce Martin and Greg Thornton all with a +1. Next week will be two person stableford multiplyer event.

Moruya Women
A cool and windy start to Wednesday, June 6, didn't deter 30 Moruya Women Golfer's playing in the 4th Medal Round - Association Medal.
It was a highly contested round but Div.1 winner Jan Lumsden was formidable, leading the field with an outstanding 76 nett. In hot pursuit was runner-up Kym Batt with an impressive 77 nett on C/B.
Div. 2 winner Lynette Gibbs scored a notable 81 nett with runner-up Vicki Goodwin hot on her heels also scoring 81 nett on C/B.
Div. 3's Shirley Noy took out 1st place with 84 nett narrowly pipping runner-up Joan Hosking also with 84 nett on C/B.
Putting Champions were: Div.1 - Margaret Douglas with 27 putts; Div.2 -Vicki Goodwin with 32 putts; Div.3 - Marilyn Bingham with 33 putts.
The Veteran's winner was Margaret Douglas, scoring a enviable 77 nett. NTP winner's were Div.1's Barbara Kennedy on the 5th and Annette O'Connell on the 10th. Marilyn Bingham "let it fly" achieving the longest drive in Div.3.
