There is always great rivalry in families and none more so than in the Connaughton family and Deb was able to beat Dave for the first time over the distance of 5 kilometres. Dave will long remember his 451st run.

In the 2 kilometres personal best times were recorded by Laura Lopresti, Jade and Ebony Berry. In the 3.5 kilometres Erin Drewsen, Jason Domeny, Andrew Greenway and Makayla Wade improved.

Julie De Ernsted and Andrew Phipps ran on Wednesday as a hit-out before their Half Ironman race next Sunday at Port Macquarie. They will be joined by Adrian Connor in the Half and Daniel Beby and Gerard Van Weerdenburg in the full Ironman race. Between the five triathletes they have recorded a total of 478 Broulee runs. Therefore, their performance will be closely watched by all the Broulee Running family.
