To me, International Women's Day is a day to take a moment, and feel thankful to all the women who have influenced you to become who you are today.

Today I share one of the many pieces of advice my mother gave me as a child: "If they can do it, you can too."
Because of my mother, I have always felt capable of achieving anything. Sometimes all I needed was that extra push.
I asked her this morning for the best advice she got from her mother, and was surprised to hear her response.
"My mother migrated from England to Adelaide when she was 18; she left home to be one of the first women to join the army barracks," she said.
"My mother always taught me to be strong and independent and told me to believe in myself."
I looked at my mother and smiled. I can confidently say we are both two strong women, not afraid to give things a go.
One previous International Women's Day, my father lit a fire in the backyard, gave me his motorbike and said, "go on, jump this and show the world some girl power - I will film you."
I think it is important for everyone to make an effort to celebrate International Women's Day.
