Dalmeny Men’s Bowls
The festive time of year curtailed our usual Monday game with the usual die-hard members deciding to have a few quiet, gentle roll-ups before adjourning to the bar to celebrate another year of good friendly bowls. Don’t forget ladies are quite welcome to join in the usual Monday and Thursday games during January.

Thursday afternoon saw 12 keen bowlers on the green enjoying the company where, under the control of president Peter, the lowest winning margin decided the only winners. There was a 20-point margin in Roy Falkiner, Mayoress Olwyn and President Pete. By the way the only other lowest winning margin was 30. The resting toucher was taken out by Roy and the only wrong bias sinner was Paul Truck-der nor was the jackpot won. Prizes in the raffle went to Olwyn, Graham or Brett, the President, the Goose and Smokey Dawson.
Twilight bowlers turned out and with a full green of 32 players which was great to see with the winners on the night being John and daughter Claire Verr-L from the runners-up in another family affair in the Graham’s, Brett and Neil. The first resting toucher was taken out by the Goose and the Southern Eurobodalla Plumbing lucky $10 draw went to Docker Ian and the Bound 2 Earth Shop two free cups of coffee went to Chris Jef-Chips. The Friday twilight game is open to all over the age of 12, both male and female, so come along and enjoy two hours of fun but please get your names down on the sign-up sheets by 4.45pm for the 5.30 start.

The jackpot draw went to the winning skip on rink 12. Barry Thurlow did not spot the joker so the $500 kitty carries over to next week.
