We welcomed back to Broulee Liza Martini, who now lives in Townsville. She is one of the originals and helped start the event back in 2007.

In the two-kilometre run, personal best times were recorded by Joe Whitear, Mitchell Beby, Liliana and Angus Murphy, and Aislinn Scahill. 

In the 3.5-kilometre run, Samson and Mark Kennedy both improved their times. In the five-kilometre run, the stand outs were Jason Stegbauer, Nathan Urban, Gavin Grant, Jason Domeny, Ciara Scahill, and Justine Beaumont.

Special mention must be made about Jason Domeny, who has been transformed from a spectator watching his girls run to running machine. He continues to improve and records personal best times each time he starts. He is an inspiration to anyone thinking about taking up running as a sport.
