Tomakin Twist Tops
Welcome summer and party day.
What a fabulous day for 47 Twisties to enjoy their morning of bowls.
President Steven Hogan welcomed everyone, then Jennie read out two Christmas cards from Margaret and Tony Vogel and one from Sue Gregory wishing all a Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2019.
They also thanked committee for another great year.
All work tirelessly to make each Sunday morning a pleasure.
The day started off with a Spider – a prize awarded to the closest bowl to a coin placed on the green.
Impossible to see but winners were Trish the Dish and Jesse James.
After bowls we all ventured into Club Tomakin for meat and seafood raffles as well as children’s toy raffles and the money wheel.
Luncheon was well worth the wait – a delicious main course followed by a scrumptious dessert.
Breakfast trays were won by Spike and Milka.
Winners were those on highest losing margin: Peter Crowe, Val Toyer and Cate Parker.
Runners-up were Margaret Vogel, Tony Dobson and Henry Garrard.

The special award was given to Robbo who said he would have played bowls if he had put his name down.
The lucky door prizes won by Tony Dobson and Maureen Devine who we were all so happy to see in attendance.
Next Sunday we have an early start with breakfast at 8am. Hope to see you there.
Malua Bay Sunday Sippers
On a hot , gusty Sunday morning 24 Sippers decided to ignore the forecast of 32C for their game of bowls.
Half-way through the morning the Sippers were really starting to feel the heat, but although offered the option of finishing early all decided to finish the 18 ends.
Winners this week were Sue Palmer, Lisa Grice and David Daverin.
Anna was back handing out lots of fines this week which will all go to charity.
