Showing grey grit by taking a muscular approach to ageing are the members of WEB in Batemans Bay.
WEB stands for weights, exercise and balance. Member Heulwen Lane says the group marked its eighth birthday in July at the home of founder and teacher Bronwyn Dunn.
About 20-25 members meet each Tuesday, from 8.30-9.30am at the Mackay Park football rooms.
Membership continues to grow and the latest recruits are aged from their early-60s to mid-70s.
“We are a dedicated group,” Ms Lane said.
“We all understand the benefits that we reap from the exercise routine.
“WEB would welcome additional members, who are enthusiastic about embarking on an easy, low-impact, weight-bearing exercise routine.
“Our costs are only $25 per quarter, and there are minor costs associated with the purchase of some weights, once the member is comfortable to commence lifting weights.”
