The Mobile Service Centre offers access to essential government services including Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support to rural Australians– all on board a 20 tonne mid-range rigid truck.
Golden Wattle is operated by specialist staff from the Department of Human Services who provide friendly face-to-face service, information and support tailored to each community.
Staff can help with a range of services, including lodging Centrelink claims, Medicare registrations, providing access to online services and offering free hearing health checks for people 16 and over on board.
Customers will be able to speak with a Department of Human Services social worker when they visit Golden Wattle.
Information about Department of Veterans’ Affairs programs and support services for veterans and their families will also be available.
