The pair were swimming around the northern end of the beach, quite close to shore, on Thursday evening.
People have reported sighting the whales at Long Beach again this morning, Friday, June 22.
Some onlookers were concerned that the pair where too close to the shore line – National Parks and Wildlife has been contacted for comment.
