Host Rob Paxevanos filmed the first episode of Fishing Australia in the shire 18 years ago, and has returned many times since.
This time, however, his team has returned to capture what he believes is his best episode yet.
“Of course there is the brilliant fishing , such as bream, flathead and jewfish - caught from houseboat, kayak and the beach … but this time there’s so much more,” Mr Paxevanos said.
“Besides teaching sustainable fishing, part of my job is to showcase what regions have to offer.

“Looking for ideas, I was lucky enough to engage with Mayor Liz Innes and the Eurobodalla Shire Council Tourism unit.
“I used their expertize to find out what best attracts people to the region.
“As a result, we filmed the area’s natural beauty, bush walking, award winning oysters, seafood restaurants and Mogo Zoo to name a few.
“I have to say I had as much fun filming these as I did the fishing.
“it’s great to see everyone can enjoy the nature and fresh local fish even if they don’t wet a line.”
Places covered include the Clyde River - thanks to it being a protected water way with great access across all seasons.
“This large pristine system is fishing increasingly well, thanks to the on flowing effects of the removal of nets when the Marine Park was implemented,” Mr Paxevanos said.
Not only is the Clyde River revered by anglers, campers and nature lovers, Mr Paxevanos and many of the local anglers are saying it is delivering the best fishing it has in their lifetime.
“Some of the flathead are huge, and the mulloway fishing is exceptional,” Mr Paxevanos said.
“In the mix is a visit to Batemans Bay beaches for a flatty or two, and of course the beautiful surf beaches as far south as Tilba Tilba.
“There’s also a catch up with Adam Martin and team to look at the South Coast Mighty Fishing Bonanza
“(It is) a new event that is set to grow into one of the Australia’s biggest fishing festivals.”
Look out also for Hailey Paxevanos on the screen – she is Mr Paxevanos’s whizz 10-year-old daughter, who sometimes upstages her dad in the fishing stakes!
The show airs on Sunday, June 24, on channel ONE, with a repeat screening on Saturday, June 30, at 4:30pm on WIN Television.
