The Batemans Bay Football Club had eight teams participating in the Eurobodalla Football Associations’ (EFA) preseason gala day held at Moruya last Sunday.

The club fielded teams from under 6s through to under 11/12s. Many new players made their soccer debut on the day.
The under 6s to under 10s participated in a round robin competition, which saw most teams play all other teams in the competition.
All our players were keen to demonstrate developing skills in their field positions and ability to chase down the ball.
The under 11/12s Bay Strikers team competed in a knockout competition. The team won their first game against the Moruya Swans 5-2 and went down against the Moruya Blues 4–0.
Great enthusiasm was shown by all the club’s players and this was demonstrated throughout the day.
The EFA Season opened on Sunday, April 15 at various sporting fields across the Eurobodalla.
