Marine rescue spokesman, Glenn Sullivan, said the marine area command state search is currently suspended.
NSW police confirmed the search had been suspended at 4pm on Saturday, December 16, “but not called off”.
On Saturday, emergency services closed Tuross Beach as part of the search for the woman, missing off Coila Lake since Wednesday evening.
Police from the Far South Coast Local Area Command were coordinating the search with the assistance of Marine Rescue NSW, the Westpac Life Saver rescue helicopter and surf life saving and SES volunteers.
The widespread search began on Thursday morning after the woman was reported missing.
Westpac Life Saver Helicopter CEO Stephen Leahy said the Moruya based Life Saver 23 was due to launch at around 10am on Friday to resume the search offshore, as well as along the beach and coastline.
The Sydney Westpac rescue helicopter meanwhile on Thursday ferried down three police divers from Sydney to Tuross Head, arriving mid afternoon. The divers remain on scene and involved in the search.
Marine Rescue NSW’s region operations manager Monaro, Glenn Sullivan said the rescue vessels from Batemans Bay and Bermagui on Friday morning resumed the offshore search off the Tuross Head area.
The Tuross Head Marine Rescue unit was assisting with logistics and helping police coordinate the search for their base, he said.
