Three-year-old Addison Wilson-Mitchell of Moruya is recovering from her latest intense treatment for stage four neuroblastoma at Sydney Children’s Hospital.

She has has just had two blood transfusions, one platelet transfusion and has another platelet transfusion scheduled for Thursday.
“She is very sick and very sore,” mother Kristen Wilson-Mitchell said.
“They have to ensure there are no white blood cells, that they kill everything.
“She has another rough week ahead, and hopefully she will feel better after that.
“The doctors say she is doing exactly what is expected.”
Mrs Wilson-Mitchell said doctors would see how Addison responded to this round of treatment before deciding when to begin the next round.
The neuroblastoma is a tumour under Addison’s left kidney.
“She is on high doses of morphine and is sleeping a lot; about 22 hours a day,” Mrs Wilson-Mitchell said.
“Sleeping is the best place she can be at the moment.”
Mrs Wilson-Mitchell and husband James are in Sydney at their daughter’s side, one spending the night there and the other at nearby Ronald McDonald house each night.
Batemans Bay’s Richard Hedges is chairman of the Olivia Lambert Foundation, named in honour of his granddaughter, who passed away from neuroblastoma at the age of eight in 2012.
He is encouraging the family to apply for funding from the foundation.
“We have helped 23 families with $239,000,” he said.
